48. Self deprecating

“I didn’t think you had dresses that covered your ass.”

I turned around to glare at Maya and she laughed. She was exaggerating. All my dresses usually covered my ass. The one I was currently putting on just happened to be longer than others usually were. It stopped above my knee but it was backless.

“Shut up. Are you ready?”

Maya frowned. “Do I not look ready?”

“My bad.” I laughed. “Come help me with my makeup.”

Maya’s favorite thing was helping me wear makeup which was why she didn’t waste time standing in front of me and ordering me to sit on the chair in front of my dresser.

It didn’t take long for her to be done and soon, we were on our way downstairs. When we reached the car, I froze. “It’s inappropriate to continue driving his car,” I spoke, catching Maya’s attention.

She had already sat down on the passenger’s seat, but she came out. “Technically, it’s not his car. It’s the company’s car.”

“It’s related to him anyway. He’s the CEO. I’ll just call an Uber.”
