I didn’t know what my father was up to, but I’d just returned from accompanying Abigail to her check-up when he called me and told me to go to the house and that it was urgent.

Abigail hadn’t expected to see me there but I had my new assistant find out what hospital her check-up was at. It was a good thing she was conversant with computers and hacking. It definitely took a lot off my workload.

She had been surprised to see me and asked if I was stalking her. She told me she didn’t need me there and I countered her, saying the baby did. It seemed like the other night was a malfunction in her daily life because she was treating me like I was invisible today.

I tried not to dwell on it too much. At least, she wasn’t screaming at me so it was a good sign.
