Chp 16 Pt. 2 The White Witch
Akila
I have never felt such anger before and it almost made me lose control of my powers. That hasn’t happened in years. Once I realized I was scaring everyone I focused and got back in control. I appreciate that Haley had a funeral for my mother but I’ll need to request to exhume her. I need to burn her body and release her energy back into nature.
As everyone heads downstairs, I head to the room Nick and Ray showed me that would be mine while I stayed in Crescent Moon. It’s nicer than anything I’ve ever stayed in before. Huge king sized bed with it’s own little living room and kitchenette. There is also a connected bathroom that is equipped with a huge tub that would fit two people and a walk in shower. I swear the closet is a bedroom, rather than a closet. I could get use to this.

Haley The next day one of the first things we do is exhume Akila’s mother and burn her remains. Akila says some incantations while her body burns and appears to be praying. We all watch, fascinated by this ritual. Mason takes Akila by the hand once it appears she is done praying and she allows him to embrace her. I can see Mason is whispering to her and I am sure he is telling her in more detail the day her mother died. A stray tear falls and she quickly wipes it away.
