Chp 17 Pt. 4 Traitor Among Us
Haley
The next morning I was on edge. What we are doing is tricky and anything could go wrong. I am too far along pregnant to easily fight back and that makes me anxious.
“Don’t worry love, we are not going far. Mason and I are going to go into the woods and meet up with Alpha Bryce’s warriors. We will be watching you the whole time.”
“That doesn’t make me feel any better.”
“I know love. The boys and Akila will be with you. Stay near them. Don’t wander away. Promise me?”
“I promise Avery.”
Avery grabs his bags and we head downstairs. Mason is already downstairs with Akila in his arms. I can tell she is nervous about what is to come. Anyone can make a decision that’ll change the outcome of what we want.
“Stay alert. This attack can happen any moment.”
“We will Avery. I wont’ leave her side,” says Akila.

Alpha AveryI have been focused on the fighting outside, I haven’t had a chance to mind link someone for an update on how Haley and the kids are doing. There are so many rogues that their stench is covering the scent of Red Moon wolves, but I know they are here. Mason is just as anxious as I am to get to our mates.A path clears for to finally make our way inside as my warriors deal with the wolves that are outside. I am proud of our hospital staff. This may not be a big hospital since wolves don’t always need a doctor, but for those that are here are either fighting off the enemy trying to push them back or they are protecting patients by blocking doors. Haley When I wake up I sit up in a panic. I feel the familiar sparks traveling up my arm and see Avery is a sleeping with his head on the bed while holding my hand. I look around the hospital room searching for my babies. I pull my hand out of Avery’s and try to get out of bed. I wince as pain from my stomach spreads throughout my body from my movements. “Easy Haley. You almost died.” “Avery, where are the twins?” I hear a knock on the door and Dr. Sully walks in. “Luna, it’s good to finally see you awake. We were worried about you.” “Where are my children!” I see Akila and Mason behind Dr. Sully, each with one of my kids. I cry at the sight of them and reach my arms out for both of them. I hold them close and kiss each of them. Alpha AveryAfter a week of recovery I phoned all our allies. We will be discussing the issue with Red Moon later today by video call and I hope they will all agree to go to war with me.
