Chp 17 Pt. 5 Traitor Among Us

“Don’t worry Haley, the pups are fine and our wound is healed. However, Avery and Spartan are going to be furious.”

“I know Hazel. But, she doesn’t have a wolf to heal her. I had to.”

I hold Akila close to me as our wolves rip into Red Moon. I notice the smell of Red Creek wolves as well, but I don’t relax until I smell the familiar scent of strawberries and honey. The once green grass is stained with red. Axel rubs up against me and Akila, licking Akila’s face. I know he is hoping she’ll wake up, but she doesn’t budge. Axel whimpers as Spartan joins my side. “Took you long enough,” I try to tease to lighten the mood but my sobs betray me. “I truly was scared they were going to succeed and take us away from you.”
