The car drove away from Eason's villa, and it wasn't until it was completely out of sight that Summer finally averted her gaze.

She asked Xavier, "I've been to Mr. Lavigne's house before, but I've never seen that old lady. Is she really his grandmother?"

"Yes," Xavier answered, keeping his eyes on the road. "Mrs. Lavigne Senior used to live alone, but she fell sick recently. Mr. Lavigne was worried about her living alone, so he brought her here."

Summer frowned. "Is she going to stay here permanently?"

The question itself was innocent, but Xavier detected a hint of disapproval in her tone. He frowned slightly and said, "You should ask Mr. Lavigne about that."

Summer figured she'd need to bring it up with Eason directly. How could people their age still live with elderly relatives?

It wouldn't be such a big deal if he were single, but she was about to move in with him, and there would inevitably be moments of intimacy.
