Katie's POV

As the years passed, our family grew and our businesses flourished. We watched as our children grew up before our very eyes, and we were proud of the young men they were becoming.

But just as we thought we had it all, another twist came our way.

It started with Alex's health. He had been feeling unwell for a while, but he had brushed it off, saying it was just stress from work. But when his symptoms got worse, we knew we had to do something.

We went to see a doctor, and after a battery of tests, we received the news we had been dreading. Alex had a serious illness, and he would need treatment to fight it.

We were devastated. It felt like the ground had been pulled out from under us. But we also knew that we had to be strong for each other.

We rallied together, supporting Alex through his treatments and recovery. It was a difficult time, but we were determined to fight through it together.

And then, just when we thought we had beaten the illness, another blow came our way.
