She looked at the TV screen and followed the news about the mysterious murders committed on three men. The festival in Downpour became known nationwide as last night’s events shocked everybody. There was gossip spreading across the city that it might have been a job done by a wild animal or even a pack of wolves crossing the country. Some people who had fun at the party claimed to have seen some of them. Their descriptions varied from more plausible ones to completely out of this world. For example, the beast was supposed to be pink with yellow stripes but that was quickly ruled out as the witness turned out to be a drug addict who saw not only pink bears but yellow ants, blue worms and white mice. However, one of the witnesses’ testimony drew Jenn’s attention. She was a ballerina, a young distinguished woman who, despite ridiculously long eyelashes, evoked trust. “They couldn’t see us,” Bianca stated a fact that did not make Blaze neither surprised nor proud. It was so obvious to him, that he didn’t treat it as anything special. “I was born like this. It’s just a gift from nature.” Bianca suddenly realized something but before saying anything she wanted to make sure. “Can Michael do the same? Or it’s just you.” “Of course, he can. And he is even better than me. Why are you asking?” Blaze got a bad feeling about that question. His mouth looked like a chimney from which smoke was being pushed out unwillingly, resembling a fireplace during a downpour. Stacy was left behind the pack and didn’t participate in the rescue mission. He became a passive observant, deprived of any influence on the course of events. At least, that is what Dervel thought. But in reality, he had already done his part and waited for Jenn’s move. Jenn in turn, held in her palm Michael’s number but couldn’t push herself to make a call. Was the dwarf right and Dervel did not intend to kill Bianca at all? Hundreds of doubts flooded her head and she couldn’t decide what side to choose.
