Chapter 64 - the Burst and the Leaf

Jig held Bianca’s hand, and he pressed it against his chest. She could feel his heart beating, steadily and as if he was not a living creature but a mechanical tool counting down to its explosion.

Patrick watched them from behind, trying to become invisible, but at the same time, he didn’t want to lose even a word of theirs.
