Chapter 30 Don't Force Me

Keira POV

"Keira you OK?" Silvy's concerned voice pulled me back to reality.

It appeared as though I had been plucked from the water and finally broken free from being choked to take a breath.

"I'm all right." Silvy's purple eyes caught my attention.

How am I expected to remain calm in this situation? I've been the prey.

As I leaned against the tree, "Silvy, how did you know this? I mean, the tracker."

"I have a gift. I can sense it and determine which pocket has your phone." Silvy put the tip of her nose in the pocket where I had my phone.

I nodded, "I was ignorant of it. I erroneously believed that the earrings were merely a gift." I sniffled, "I don't see why he did this; it was something he had planned from the start. Why couldn't we just get along as mates, as my parents did?"

When I thought I was about to start crying, I tried to hold my head up, but doing so only made the tears come more quickly down my face.
