Samantha POV

I have been out of the hospital for about a month now. I haven't seen Ate since the day I asked him to leave. My dragon has been going crazy inside my head. She has been trying to convince me every day to make the effort and go to Ate.

I understand what she has been going through, but she needs to realize that I first have other things to work through.

How can I be the queen he needs me to be if I do not even know what the right protocols are. This is why I have been locking myself up in my room trying to learn everything about being a dragon queen.

My mom has been helping me with the change from a human to a dragon. I can now change flawlessly between my dragon and my human. The first few times have been gruesome. The pain was just so unbearable that I stopped midway through the change and just chang back.

Mark has been coming here a lot. He also gave me some very useful information on being part of the pack. I asked him nicely not to tell Ate that he is helping me o
