Chapter 33: The Mysterious Man

ARIA'S POV:

All day, I thought of the festival and its mysterious elder.

*** Flashback ***

I had just arrived at the festival. The pack members were all happy to see me. The children loved my dress, especially the girls. The women were all happy to see me. The festival was beautiful and amazingly decorated.

Strolling over to the food section, I picked out some strawberries. As I raised my head to eat it, I met the eyes of someone.

He looked older, and I could clearly see his long, silvery white hair from underneath his hood. His eyes bore deep into me as if they were searching, my soul, then he broke the eye contact.

I continued with the strawberries I was eating when I felt a presence beside me. Looking up, it was the white-haired elder.

"I heard you've been asking questions about the past." He said. His voice, full of authority and fearsome strength. Before I could reply, he continued.

"Forget it." He said, with a tone of finality. "You will find nothing. So just stop digging." T
