CHAPTER NINETEEN

Maddie finished her milk bath then wore the clothes Eliza prepared. After that, she started drying Maddie’s hair. She feels extra special today because Theo said that they will go somewhere special. Maddie’s first thought was that he will introduce her to his parents but Eliza mentioned that the former rulers were far gone. That left Maddie anxious yet excited. She keeps on thinking of the possible places they can go to and given the majestic place, everything is special. 

Given what happened the other night, Maddie felt differently about Theo. She knows it’s still far from love but he is making her little heart pound. She unconsciously smiled when she remembered how they danced in the most comfortable silence she had ever experienced. Maddie felt so warm, so safe after a long time that she almost forgot everything cruel she’d been through.
