Hayley’s POV
I could not believe it, we had been so close to finding the people who had taken TJ all along, how none of my great grandfather’s army discovered the hidden door was beyond me but now we knew who had taken TJ. Humans!
I wanted to vomit, humans had caused my family so many problems in the past, my great grandfather had told me many stories, its why we started living on another realm. A place inaccessible to anyone who did not have Fae blood, Fae were also banned from having any connections with them, otherwise your death would be certain. We were really grateful when they had been wiped out.
In that moment I remembered Marcus the man holding my hand, the human who had been part of the plan in taking us down. Yes I wanted to kiss him, but I also want to smack him for what he and his kind had done. I raised a hand to strike him and to my surprise his reflexes were quick and he grabbed my wrist “Not now, we have to move” and he growls, wait, what?, h
TJ’s POV Marcus gave us details on what had happened to me, not all because he didn’t know how I was captured just that their leader, a man called Matthew had done it. He also filled us in on the brutal torture I had been through. It made me uncomfortable listening to the descriptions of beatings I had received at the hands of Matthew. I was curious to know how he knew so much if he never took part. “The main guard was ill one day, Matthew asked me to stand guard as the torturing’s took place” his brows knitted together, clearly reliving the images he had seen. “I still do not understand how you survived it” "Because she is amazing" I catch Erik staring at me and recognise that he is not the only one, all eyes are trained on me and they probably all had the same question as Marcus but honestly I don’t even know how, especially as I have seen the scars that the torturings has left, my back in particular was covered in them. I think Erik w
Matthew’s POV What the hell was that sound, I headed out of my office to find Alice on her way to find me, I pick her up and hurry down the flight of stairs, meeting her nanny along the way and hand her over. “Go to our house and stay there until I return”. I carry on down the staircase and stop at the floor above the prison, people were running around, the screams had grown louder and yet I still couldn’t see anything, the guards from the prison came out “Is everyone locked in?” “Yes sir” they respond in unison, at least there will not be another escape A young man with greasy hair comes running towards me “Sir, sir, there has been an explosion in the boiler room” “What the hell happened?” “We do not know yet, we are working on it” the young man tells me “Well sort it as soon as possible, we have lots of people here” he nods and runs back in the same direction he came from. I start climbing the stairs and catch a glimp
TJ’s POVYou need to find himI know, I groan back at my wolf.“What happened?” Erik was questioning a sobbing Hayley.“He lunged for him and threw something at him, that’s what made the loud bang” Hayley was still sat on the floor, "Aslo attacked Marcus"“Taken him to Faery?” I ask cautiously and she shakes her head“No, no Fae blood so he will not be able to enter” she has finally stopped crying “Please find him”“I thought Aslo didn’t mind half breeds” Hayley shook her head at me again“He doesn’t, as long as they have Fae blood”“So much for him wanting a unified world” Erik thought he was muttering out of ear shot. I shoot him a dirty look and he looks at the ground. He is jeopardizing our lifeI try to ignore her comment, I knew my wolf didn’t trust him
Alpha Erik’s POVI was unsure about TJ shifting, it was rare that she did before she was taken as she didn’t need her wolf to be brutal. It was also the first time since hospital that TJ would be shifting fully. I watched as all her bones cracked and her body contorted before it sprouted fur and soon she was stood on four legs in front of me, as a stunning red wolf.I shifted too and we headed towards the forest line where Hayley and Chris were waiting for us, as we walked I nuzzled my head against hers showing my appreciation that she had allowed herself to shift into wolf form without much drama. As we ran through the forest, TJ mentioned how she could smell something and even with the heightened senses, I could smell nothing other than the usual forest smells. She suddenly changed direction and digging my poors into the Earth, I skidded to a stop so I could run with her whilst mind linking Chris and Hayley.TJ came to a halt just as Hayley
Hayley’s POVI run to where Marcus has been abandoned, he was battered and bruised but he still embraced me with the little energy he had left. Whatever my great grandfather had done to him, I was certain Luna TJ was going to make him suffer. I helped Marcus to his feet and shoulder some of his weight as we make a move away from all this, this lie my great grandfather had created.A part of me felt like I had to protect Aslo, he had raised me after all but was that even the truth, I had no idea if what he has taught me over the years is even true.I looked around to see that my Luna was already tearing my great grandfather apart, she was not in her wolf or human form but something in between, something that was demonic. He never stood a chance against her and right now I felt nothing for the man I had called great grandfather. The castle behind them caught my attention, it was not as magnificent as I had previously seen, it was run down and part of
TJ’s POVIt felt so good to tear that asshole apart, my wolf and I combined giving us both full control simultaneously. I had enough of that Aslo, the more he spoke the more I didn’t trust him and my wolf had been right all along, we had met him before. He had been the Fae trying to attack us in the forest. As I stood over the remaining parts of Aslo, a strong sense of satisfaction overcame my body, my wolf retreated back and left me standing naked. Power thrived inside me, it completely took over anything else I was feeling.Quiet footsteps approached from somewhere behind, throwing a glance over my shoulder Erik was smiling at me “You did a great job” and he pulls off his tshirt and hands it too me. Making me aware that I was completely naked.Taking it and pulling it on quickly, I glance around to see where the others are. “They are fine, they are with Marcus” he murmurs into my ear as he wraps his arms around me, pu
Matthew’s POVThe guards never returned, I could only assume the worst had happened to them. All our hunters and guards are trained and have to take an oath to kill themselves if they were at the mercy of any supes. It was to ensure information about us would never get out.As I spent time reading over the information I had on the mate bond, I began to realise that a wolf could literally be mated to any kind which could also mean that the special one in our cell could have attracted my right hand man Marcus, there was no way he would have gone to her aid otherwise.Could it be possible that humans could not ignore the mate bond no matter what? It is the only thing that made sense, Marcus hated the supes as much, if not more than what I do.Another day had passed and there was still no sign of Lacey, four days left and I will be coming for her baby regardless. I exhale noisily as a rap of knuckles hits my door “Come in” and I slump back d
TJ’s POVI tried to prepare myself for whatever Erik was going to say, how bad could it be? Surely he wouldn’t have had sex with me if there was something really wrong. Erik rakes a hand through his already messy blonde hair, he was bothered by my need to know and couldn’t look me directly in the eye.“Now is not the time!” he grumbles and tries to move forward, however I stood my ground, he was not going to get out of this so easily.Do you really want another fight with him? My wolf groans at me and she was right, I didn’t want a fight, but he had just told me I had been strange since I woke up.“Fine” Erik’s eyes were different, the gold flecks shinning much more brightly than usual. “You do things…….”I cut him off, holding a finger up to my lips, ordering him and everyone to be silent. My nose was twitching at the smell, it wasn't human and it reminded me
