TJ’s POV
Marcus gave us details on what had happened to me, not all because he didn’t know how I was captured just that their leader, a man called Matthew had done it. He also filled us in on the brutal torture I had been through. It made me uncomfortable listening to the descriptions of beatings I had received at the hands of Matthew. I was curious to know how he knew so much if he never took part.
“The main guard was ill one day, Matthew asked me to stand guard as the torturing’s took place” his brows knitted together, clearly reliving the images he had seen. “I still do not understand how you survived it”
