It had taken a lot to convince my brother that wolfsbane would be our only option for now. We could not have Blue’s wolf killing the entire pack.

She beams at us as we tell her she can have some. But she didn’t seem so keen on the idea of learning to control her wolf. If that was even possible. Yet somehow, Jaxon believed it could be done.

Our father had said it himself, she is uncontrollable. She is the ultimate weapon and I didn’t think he was wrong.

Jaxon tells her to remain in her room until we return. “We will lock the door so no one can get in.”

“You’re locking me in?” She frowns at him

“Just until we are back. We won’t be gone long.” He reassures her. But he knew as well as I did, finding wolfsbane wasn’t exactly easy. Wolves tend to stay away from it and wolfsbane never really bothered us Lycans.

He pulls the door shut as we leave, slipping the key into the lock and sighs.

“It’s only for a little while.” I remind him. “But we need to do this for her.”
