“Shit, Oh my Goodness. Xander I’m really sorry. I clamber off the bed as he backs away from me, coughing and spluttering.

“It’s fine,” He mutters with his croaky voice.

“I didn’t mean to, why were you standing over me like that?” I had intense guilt while Anika was laughing her head off.

Stupid idiot!

“You’ve been asleep for a while, I wanted to make sure you were okay.”

Bullshit!

“I was tired. I did tell Jaxon that.”

I watch him rub his throat. The redness from my hit, already fading as his voice returned to normal.

“He didn’t say that.”

He’s lying. He can probably smell Jaxon’s scent on us!

“Why didn’t you knock?” I try really hard to listen to his heartbeat. To see if it was like before, if his beat would skip when he lied.

It was another lie.

"What couldn't wait?" I mutter, yawning and rubbing my eyes.

“Father has shared some information with Jaxon and myself.”

wow! just wow! Taylor you did it again great chapters and you spoiled us with 2 ch again. crossing fingers that Anika fills blue in on her past, neither brother dies, blue and Anika find peace and happiness. not gonna lie I have always liked jaxon...b/c I felt j&b had a lot to learn from one another
