Thirty Two.

I hear my sister's screams from below and charge out of my room. Hurrying down the stairs, I see Cece backing out of the office. Her hands in front of her as she begs for something to stop. A very large blue wolf steps out, snarling at her. It’s odd coloured eyes glued to Cece.

“Blue?” The word comes out as no more than a whisper. How could this be her? It wasn’t even a full moon yet.

The wolf prowls towards Cece, hungry for the kill.

“Cece, run!” I had no idea what Blue was capable of. I had never seen a wolf as big as her. Nor had I seen a blue wolf.

“I can't,” Cece cries back. She was just as focussed on the wolf, afraid to look away.

Blue hadn’t even acknowledged me. She was locked on her target and nothing else seemed to matter.

They move across the foyer, their feet moving in time with one another. Keeping the same steady rhythm. Was Blue playing a game with her?

Somehow, I already knew that Cece wasn’t going to make it out of this alive.

one chapter at a time is difficult and having to unlock and pay for each one is annoying. other stories allow for several chapters to open at once after paying. I may have go stop reading and wait until it's complete. moonlight Muse and Jane doe have some great stories out there right now.
