Amelia froze on the phone. "Excuse me, you have not said a word. Who are you" The voice on the other side of the phone said. Amelia felt her insides grow cold. Was her mate having another mate beside her? Had he gone to visit her at this odd hour? Amelia suddenly began to feel the coolness of the water on her skin.

"Hello. Speak!" the voice roared through the phone. Amelia swallowed hard. She was speechless. Not a single word could form in her brain or in her mouth. Just then, she heard her mate’s voice.

"Who is on the phone?"

He sounded like he had been sleepy. So many thoughts went through Amelia’s head. Alpha Alex had left with Sandra and her sister. Did they later meet up and discuss things which later led to them going over to a hotel or going over to her house? Amelia felt her throat itching. It was so hard not to cry at that moment. She struggled to swallow her saliva but her throat would not let it through.
