I miss you

KING ARLO'S POV

The hushed voices were getting louder at my every, close step. I got to the door and it was pulled open from inside. Like they were anticipating me. And they were.

I had told the butler to announce my arrival an hour ago. Enough time for them to carry out whatever preparations were necessary for my visit.

"Greetings, Your Majesty." The nannies echoed, with their hands crossed in front and their heads bowed.

I nodded. My gaze went to my son lying in the crib with a binky in his mouth. His all-blue attire synched with the rays of sunlight from the blinds, giving him a more breathtaking glow.

Seeing him was heart-warming as always, and I let myself smile. Not like I could help it though. He just had a way of always making me weak and vulnerable. In a sweet way.

"You may leave." I dismissed the nannies. They bowed again and headed out of the room.

I strolled to the crib and crouched in front of it. His tiny hands were fisted and I grabbed one of them,
