“Forgive me,” I said. “But I’ve had a very rough couple of months and I don’t think trust is what I can give out right now.”

“I understand,” she sighed. Pulling up a chair to the edge of the tub, she sat and crossed her legs while I drank in her features.

Her hair was white complimenting her narrow eyes and thin lips. She wasn’t wrinkled as old women were but she was graceful in the way she aged.

Her fingers had around four rings spread out evenly on each hand.

There was not much to look at seeing as her clothes consisted of a grey robe and a scarf on her neck.
