Chapter 58

My entire world was fire

I burnt from every crevice of my body and yet they wouldn't leave me alone.

Arnou was in the room. I knew that because he had rushed in and held my hand trying to calm me down.

I couldn’t focus on his face but I knew something was wrong. They wanted to put me in an ice bath meant to calm me but it hurts so much.

It hurts when they touch me.

I blinked my eyes trying to clear my vision as they cut through my dress. I tried my best to stay still, so they wouldn’t cut my skin by mistake.

My legs hurt so fucking much, I’m sure it looks terrible.

Silent tears rolled down my eyes and I peeked at my legs to see how much damage had been done.

I cocked my brows perplexed. The skin of my legs was perfectly smooth. Sure I could see some red angry scratches my broken nails had made. But other than that my legs were absolutely fine.
