She gasped as she woke, I didn't want her body away from mine yet, and I didn't want to startle her by waking up yet. She could try to run away from me. I pulled her closer towards me and her heartbeat increased, suddenly it became normal, beating with a steady rhythm I understood perfectly. Something was running wild in her head.

She tried to get up and this time, I let her go. She creeped out of the room, Lyle saw her and mind linked me, but I told him to stay put, I'd wanted to see what she'd planned on doing. Then she did it! She tried to escape.

Lyle stopped her before she got out, and I couldn't help but laugh while they talked. She felt more comfortable with him, than she was with me. I tried to push away the jealousy that pricked the back of my mind.
