SCARLET’S POV

I sat down after Beatrice sat down, and I stared at her just the way a hawk would stare fiercely.

“I heard about the loss of your mother. I know how hard that can be. How have you been holding up so far?” Beatrice asked, with concern.

Although, I couldn’t just believe if that concern was real or not. People like her could be so cunning, and it was best for me to watch out.

“I’m fine. Thanks to Elias and my best friend, I’m a bit better than how I could be, without them.” I said, with a straight face.

“Oh, I’m glad about that. That reminds me. Elias and I are now back together, and we have been sleeping together for quite some time now.”

“What?”

“Yeah. I just decided to inform you on that, because you seem to have eyes for him.” Beatrice said, and folded her arms as she stood up.

This can’t be true. There is no way Elias would do that to me, and he has already assured me that there is nothing between he and Beatrice anymore.
