Chapter Fifty Seven

SCARLET’S POV

As I followed Justin, heading to Dr. Shapiro’s office, I wondered what Dr. Shapiro wanted to see me on. But then, Justin halted, and turned to me with a weird expression on his face.

“What?” I asked, giving him a baffled look.

“Well, I just saved you.” He replied, with a smile on his face, and slipped his right hand into his pocket.

“I don’t understand. What do you mean by you just saved me?” I questioned, hoping he wasn’t going crazy.

“Well, from the morning, I noticed Elias was probably giving you a hard time by showing up, and then when he showed up again, I felt you needed a valid reason to escape him. So, I came up with this idea.”

I let out a chuckle, and was quite surprised he did that for me.

“Hold on. Are you for real?”

“Yeah, I am. Don’t worry, you can thank me over a cup of ice cream.” Justin said, with a smile.

I scoffed, and rolled my eyes.

“Well, thanks. But can we get the ice cream later? Maybe tomorrow.”

“Sure, why not? And do you mind me walking you hom
