Seeing from Alistair’s eyes

King Alistair sat at the head of the table…his expression carefully neutral as the elders barraged him with insults about Sera, his mate.

….His fists were clenched under the table, and his inner wolf, Kane, kept growling in anger. Kane urged him to punish the elder for his disrespect and throw him out of the kingdom for daring to talk about Sera like that. How dare they?!

"Calm down….Kane," Alistair whispered internally, trying to keep his composure.

"We have a plan, remember? We need to gather enough information on these stupid —motherfuckers before we can make our move and take them down in one more month.”

Kane grumbled in response… he was still very unhappy with the way the elders were trash talking Sera. But Alistair knew they couldn't act rashly.

They needed to be patient …strategic.

"As much as I want to break their fucking necks right now, we have to pretend to agree with them," Alistair reminded Kane . "They want me to hate her, if they think I do, then they will leave her
