Emma was sitting on the bare floor and her head was placed between her legs.

Her eyes were red as she had cried her eyes out.

"Diego, please be safe." These were the words she had been chanting for days. Her prayers to the Moon Goddess never seized.

A few seconds later, there was a knock on the door and a maid opened the door.

"Good day, ma'am." The maid greeted.

Emma raised her head as soon as she heard the maid's voice. It was the same maid that she had given the letter to.

However, there was a tacit understanding between them not to talk about the letter.

"Are you okay?" Emma asked, in concern. For a moment, she thought that the maid had gotten into trouble. She knew the maid had delivered the letter but she didn't get to ask about Diego.

"Yes, I'm alright, ma'am." The maid said, with her hands placed before her.

"The Alpha has summoned you." The maid added as she was not in Emma's room because of the letter.
