Six Months Later

Six months had passed since the day I stormed out of Archer's life, and in that time, I hadn't spoken to him or even caught a glimpse of him. Instead, Steve, his loyal bodyguard, had taken over the task of shuttling the kids between our houses.

Initially, the children had struggled to adjust to the new arrangement. There were tears and protests, but eventually, they came to accept the new routine. They understood that despite the changes, both Archer and I remained constants in their lives.
