Chapter Sixty-Eight: Other Assets

To say I was shocked when Vito proposed to me was an understatement, I had no idea that he’d been planning to ask me for weeks and even had the ring specially made around a month of us dating. He told me the moment that I moved into his house that we’d get married; he was simply waiting for the right time to ask me. Even though this trip wasn’t planned for this purpose, he knew it would be the perfect place.

I simply sat on the bed staring at the beautiful ring which gleamed on my finger, I’d never been the type of person to really marvel over jewellery or spend countless hours chasing down the perfect piece, but I had to say, this was beautiful.
