Chapter Sixty-Nine: Mother Dearest

Walking down the cobblestone steps of the villa Vito and I are staying in, my hands shook with anticipation, after spending the past three days hearing Vito planning the little ceremony for us to get married, the day had finally, come. I was now on my way over to the woman who was making me my dress, due to the wedding not being huge, I didn’t think I would need to wear a dress as it’ll only be me, Vito and a few witnesses which will need to be present. But Vito was quick to tell me that it wouldn’t be a wedding if I wasn’t in a wedding dress, he knew the perfect person to make me a simple dress for the simple ceremony, but he was sure to tell me that when the time came for us to have the big wedding back at home, he’ll ensure that I go all out.

Susanna, the woman who would be making my dress came over yesterday to take my measurements and asked me what kind of dress I wanted, after going over some things and explaining how simple I wanted the dress, she left with a smile telling me
