Mia’s pov

Lorenzo’s face was void of all emotion, which unnerved me in a hundred ways at the same time.

The incident that had occurred between us back in the kitchen, hours ago, drifted into my mind in that moment and I found myself flushing in embarrassment as I glanced away.

I clasped the edge of my towel and pulled it tightly, feeling completely bare in his presence right now.

“Why are you staring at me like a fish out of water? Like you’ve seen a ghost or something.” He rasped out, eyebrows arched and I found myself blinking in confusion, while trying to figure out if he was being for real right now.

The reason why I’m currently staring at him right now should be plain as day to everyone who’s a little bit smart. Lorenzo was far from being a little bit smart, he’s a whole lot of smart, so I’m very sure he knows exactly why I’m staring at him the way I currently am.

I shifted my weight from foot to foot, chewing at the inside of my cheeks as I made to speak.
