Chapter Forty Eight

(XAVIER)

“Retreat!” Matteo called out to his men and they obeyed, filling out of the club.

Xavier let finally let Casso go, pointing a gun at him, just to make sure they didn’t try anything stupid.

“Good choice” Matteo called as he entered into his car, “It’s always fun messing with you”

Matteo had lied, just as he had suspected, he didn’t have anyone watching Amelia.

It all happened in slow mode, Matteo had brought out his gun to shoot Xavier and Casso wasn’t fully in the car yet, his legs were still out, Xavier fired a clean shot to his leg and he knew even without seeing it that he didn’t miss. Matteo drove away.

Then there was another shot. There was a man, up the stairs, one of Matteo Soldiers. It was headed for Blake who was right beside him, he immediately pushed Blake away, taking the shot to the side, this was probably a plan made by Matteo. He wasted no time and shot the man to the throat.

The blood was already soaking his shirt. He had been shot.
