Chapter Forty Five

The party was in full swing, it was finally time to face Diana.

She watched Diana as she walked to her, stealing her away from Xavier’s arms.

She instantly felt a strange longing, she wanted to be always there in his arms, there was this warmth that came with his presence.

‘What the hell!” Diana screamed over the noise,

“You guys were so romantic and in public?, what the hell is happening, you should have seen how much attention was on you when you walked in… wait could that be why you were again absent from work for almost a week?”

So much questions, she thought she was ready to answer them, but all her answers would have to be lies, so it was better to be more prepared. “I tell you everything, but I’m actually discussing some business with Xavier, he wants to approve my designs, but I’ll tell you everything after then”

“You sure?” Diana asked with an arched eyebrow.

“Of course”, Amelia said with a laugh that sounded too high… too fake.
