"What is that? What way?" I shake Olivia who appears to be in a mode of trance, her eyes fixed ahead of me.
She blinks and looks at me with a confused look. "Huh?"
"You told me that there is a way. A way for me to not go to the Dark Shadow Society. A way for me to survive." I say, desperation clinging to my voice. I cannot help myself. The moment she said there is a way, it's like I see a small fragment of light in the darkness. Even if it's not the proper escape route, it is something for me.

I turn back and shine the light on the source ,but nothing more except the bark of a tree comes to my sight. So I hold my chest, to stabilize my rapid breathing. Maybe I am just thinking too much.
