Chapter 13

I stood in the mirror checking that I looked perfect. I wanted to make a good impression tonight. Now that I was in a bigger city I knew that it might be harder to prove myself since I was a woman. I would have to work twice as hard and try not to screw up. Once I was satisfied with the way I looked I grabbed my things and headed to the station. I was glad that I had found an apartment close by especially if I was going to be on graveyards for a while. I pulled into the parking lot and made my way inside. As I walked in a woman was sitting at the reception desk. She had long brown hair and eyes to match. She smiled as I walked in. “You must be the new recruit. My name is Megan. Megan Turner, I am the night receptionist and dispatcher.” I smiled back and shook my hand out as I stood in front of her.
