Chapter 35

Josephine's POV...

When I woke I was back in my room. My hand was bandaged and the cabin seemed quite. I pulled the blanket back and saw blood on the sheets. Everything flashed back and then I remembered someone ripping Ethan off of me. Who though? It had to be Dan. Why he stopped him I don't know but I was grateful I wasn't dead.

I sat myself up and carefully got out of bed. I was sore all over but I was able to move. I walked over to my bathroom and turned the light on. When I looked in the mirror I saw the bruises. I just shook my head and turned the water on for a bath. The water felt good as I sank myself into the tub.

I was trying to gather my thoughts and come up with a way out of this. I let the tears fall as the hopelessness started to set in. I stood a chance of escape when it was just Ethan but now that Dan was involved I wasn't sure if I could get away. I heard a knock o
