Chapter 30

When I came to I was lying in the bed. I wasn’t chained which was surprising considering I tried to escape. It was dark and the only light was from the moon coming in the window. I laid there a minute until my bladder made me get up. I started to sit up and that’s when I heard him move next to me. He was sitting in a chair next to my bed. “Why did you have to try and run? Now I have another body to get rid of and it’s all your fault.” I looked down because I knew the risk when I tried what I did but I did it anyway. He was right I was the reason she was dead.
