Chapter Eighty - Four

The door pulled open, revealing a fat pot-bellied old man instead of Damon, leaving Regina surprised. The old man looked at them with curiosity and asked, "What can I do for you folks?"

Hills took a step forward and replied, "We're looking for a man named Damon. He used to live here before. Did you know him?"

The old man shook his head slowly. "I'm sorry, but I don't know any man named Damon. I just recently moved in last month after the house was sold to me."

Regina's heart sank, and she could feel tears welling up in her eyes. She stammered, "But... but he lived here. He's my ex husband and this was the house we lived in. And just few days back, he took my daughter and we suspect he'd. e back here. Please sir, tell us if Damon is inside. We need to get him arrested. My daughter's life is at stake here."

The old man's expression softened as he noticed Regina's distress. "I'm really sorry to hear that, miss, but I genuinely have no knowledge about Damon or his whereabouts."
