Chapter 30

I was accompanied to the Alpha's chambers to explain myself and tell them why I had betrayed them.

Mascot followed suit, pretending to look somber when he was actually enjoying whatever that was happening. I didn't care about him, only about the people that his lie would hurt.

The Alpha sat surrounded by his elders, he couldn't show how hurt he was because he would be seen to have a soft heart and that was a disadvantage as an Alpha he was.

“I am truly disappointed in what I heard but it would be unfair to you to listen blindly to other people and not hear you out.”

I looked around first before speaking. I couldn't sight Laura when I began to speak but I knew she was somewhere in the crowd.
