Chapter 68

Audrey’s POV:

Our eyes met and held and for a long while, neither of us spoke nor moved, not even Ian who had been trying to climb down initially.

It almost seemed like we all had been glued to place by some invisible force.

I shook with fear too but tried not to show it because I knew that people like him thrive on other people’s fear.

“Look who we have here..?” He snarled, rubbing the palms of his hands together.

He had this look on his face that seemed both scary and irritating at the same time, and as much as I feared him, I also wanted to smack his head until it snapped.

“Her Royal highness…” He answered himself. I wasn’t sure If it was just my thoughts, but I couldn’t help but feel like he was making a mockery of me; I ignored him.

From my peripheral vision, I could notice Ian picking up a splinter of wood on the forest floor but I gestured to him to drop it because I knew it wouldn’t end well for us, we were outnumbered!

if you've elevated her status and she's been leading a pack, why do you continue to make her so weak. also the soldier called her princess so what has Erik told Jacob? I think both Ian and Audrey handled this wrong.
