I wipe down the mirror and then look at my reflection. I take a sharp breath in as the sunken look around my eyes is gone and there is more colour in my cheeks. Again, Iris seems to giggle at me in my head. I look into the mirror, staring at my reflection and say,

“What are you giggling about?”

I watch as the eyes, my eyes, change to the ones I saw in my dream and she says,

“You have it bad…”

“What? I don’t know what you are talking about…”

“Sure you don’t…”

She then seems to disappear, my eyes returning to their normal colour. I lean on the side of the sink and say,

“Wait, Iris?”

My eyes don’t change this time as she answers,

“Yes.”

“Can you change more than just my eyes?”

“I’m not sure.”

“Did you want to try?”

I then feel that strangeness as she seems to push forward, pushing me back just a little. My teeth then tingle a little along with my ears and I watch with amazement as the same two little fangs press into my bottom lip and then my ears lengthen just a lit
