After leaving Seraphina to see to Ryker, I do a quick round of the town, with Isabella now missing and everyone on edge after such a close call at actually reuniting with Scarlett. I know that we will be moving on soon.

I had found one of the stores here had a supply of blood lollies that were hard to find but were absolutely delicious, the best thing about them was they were made of pure human blood they helped with the craving when one is in a position where they can’t get their hands on real blood from a bag or a body.

I am not really paying attention as I walk up to the door of the store and I am nearly knocked off my feet as a young female bumps into me. I grab onto her upper arms, steading both her and myself.

I take a breath in and realise that she is human. She is not marked and as she looks at me, I can see and feel the fear come off of her. I only barely hear her as she mumbles,

"I'm sorry!"

With my mind back on the blood lollies, I say probably a little rud
