Selena's POV

Each day I remembered the reason for my mother's death, my determination to sit on the throne would double.

Mother clearly said she doesn't want her death to be in vain and I was going to make sure it wasn't even if it meant going to the extreme, I don't care.

The issue I had now was, I had been restricted from going close to the palace. Even my father wasn't even helping matters.

Several times, I had pleaded with him to speak with Alpha Jasper on my behalf but before I would even complete my request, he would be gone.

I understand the fact that he was still mourning his wife and he was angry with me because she had died for my sake but at the same time I felt he was taking it too personally.

He was the same person who always asked me never to relent whenever I set my heart into something but now he was the one who was going back on his words.
