Chapter 12

I didn't notice I fell asleep in the other room and woke up because my mouth ran dry. As I was on my way towards the kitchen, I saw an illuminating light coming from a room. The door was open, and inside of it, I saw and heard my husband and his beta having a deep conversation.

"Your Highness, there are more rebels captured in the pack. I hate to admit this, but they are getting out of hand. How long do you plan to stay in this resort?" Beta Caleb explained to his boss, his eyebrow scrunching while showing the screen of his iPad.

I was curious and hid in the wall. They were too immersed in their talk that they didn't notice me. On the screen of the iPad, I peeked and saw a raging fire in the Blue Moon Kingdom pack!

What the hell?! Why are they protesting?! There were holding placards and torches, even a child was holding a placard while carrying his cat.

Poor baby...

"How many rebels are captured last night?" Thomas asked in a dangerous voice.

"Two hundred and twenty, boss."
