Chapter 22: The inner eye

Leticia slowly opened the door to the room and walked in. She looked at the sleeping lady on the bed and she slowly made her way towards her.

‘Cara, my dear twin sister, you’ve always been an embarrassment to our parents and I’m here to punish you for that,’ Leticia said and she brought out her dagger.

She knew Cara wasn’t dumb not to have put protective charms around herself in case someone tried to use magic to hurt her. And so, she was forced to kill her using this method.

She raised the dagger up to stab Cara with it but before she could do so, Cara opened her eyes and immediately blasted a fireball at Leticia throwing her off her feet.

"You're awake," Leticia snarled in anger.

"I know that you were hoping I would be dead but sadly, your prayers aren't going to get answered today," Cara said.

"How are you awake, I hit you with a spell that would make you unconscious for a week," Leticia said.

"That's the thing about you Leticia, your overconfidence that you're much stronger than m
