Episode 1

Human world (Phoenix City, America.)

Lexa could still feel how her back hurt so badly, and her tears won't stop flowing like a sad river.

She winced in pain, as she tried to reach for the wound on her back with her right hand and hissed loudly. She slumped on her bed weakily and sobbed harder.

Lexa couldn't comprehend why her foster mother always treats her cruelly, not like she has done anything wrong to her as long as she could remember. So why? She thought she was too little to go through all these, the pains were getting much for her and can't seems to take them anymore.

She was exhausted of getting beaten everyday, receiving different rains of curses, not having regular meals, and doing chores that wasn't meant for her age.

For crying out loud, am just twelve! Lexa bursted out with frustration and gripped the blanket harshly. She just wanted to be free from all these, believing it was best to be alone but knew it won't be possible, as she was still a kid.

Then, her mind raced to what her foster mother spat out previously when the latter was hitting her.

" You are a curse! Infact, I hate you so much! I wish I could just strangle you to death, you are so worthless, and the sight of you irks me to the core. What I hate most is your scent! It makes me sick and loathe you more. Just that scent,,,,,,,,,,huh it vex me a lot!"

Lexa sniffed lowly, as she recalled her foster mother's words and shut her eyes, only to open them after some seconds, but they were swollen.

Why did she despise my scent? I don't even know what that scent means?

Did she loathe me because of my scent?

Different thoughts were swirling inside her head, which made her to groan and scrunched her face a little. Those thoughts were hurting her head, and instantly she felt slightly lightheaded, but luckily she was on her bed. And that made it easy for her to relax herself.

Lexa then decided to relieve her head by having some rest, thus adjusting herself and closing her eyes for Mr. sleep to take over.

The moon bade a farewell to the sky, cause it's job as the keeper of the night was over. It was time for the big flaming ball to take it's duty as the boss of the day. The sun rose brightly, spreading it glory all over the sky which brightened up the whole city.

Lexa tossed on the bed for a while, before her eyes finally opened, but she covered them immediately as the rays of sunlight entering her room via the window, pierced her eyes. She squinted her eyes and tried to adjust them, which worked after some seconds.

Then, she yawned loudly and stretched herself, but it only made her back hurt more. And she flinched in pain. Suddenly, memories of what happened to her yesterday bursted in her head, and she exhaled ruefully. The little girl on the floppy bed wished she could be free and happy, but she had no idea of what to do.

But as Lexa managed to stand up from the bed, her face lit up a bit, and she halted. A thought dinged in her head, but she wasn't sure if it was going to be possible.

Since, my foster mother hates me because of my scent, what if I try to hide it, but can I succeed? She questioned herself inwardly and furrowed her sword shaped eye brows slightly. Lexa shook her head and pondered on what to do about her situation, before it turns into something else.

" Maybe, I should actually hide my scent. There is no harm in trying, but who knows, it might possibly work," she muttered beneath her breath as the same thought made it's way into her head again.

After that, I need to find a way to escape from this living hell, but right now am powerless, she continued thinking and felt miserable because of her present predicament, until the last word she thought "powerless" blew a notion to her, which had her to furrow her brows again.

Lexa nodded her head and accepted her thoughts. To her, it was the best decision, and she was ready to go for it without looking back. The little girl made up her mind to escape from her foster mother once she clocked eighteen years of age and the moment she was able to shape shift into her wolf form.

She grinned to herself, with her firm decision, and she believed by that time, she would be able to live a free life. But first, Lexa had to find a way to conceal her strong scent, so her foster mother would reduce the hatred she had for her. That was her first move, but she didn't know how to go about it.

Lexa strolled to her wardrobe and picked her body spray, then she sprayed it all over her body and sniffed herself gently but nothing changed. She only noticed, she gave out a more nice fragrance as a result of the body spray, but her normal scent was still whiffing around.

She sighed while shaking her head, wondering how she was going to achieve her plan.

" You stupid child! Don't you know it time for you to get on with your morning chores?! I think the beatings you received yesterday were too small right? Okay then, I will multiply it for you, if that's it."

Lexa heard her foster mother's annoyed voice and quivered nervously.

" Shit!"

She totally forgot about her morning chores and smacked her head lightly. She was too busy thinking about how to save herself to the extent, her mind skipped her daily chores, and a great fear gripped her body.

One thing was sure for Lexa, a new huge scolding and punishment was awaiting her, due to how late she was in executing her chores, and she almost dropped down to the cold floor with that certain thought. Instantly, she took to her heels and scurried out of her room, heading towards where her chores were waiting for her.

" Worthless piece of trap! Right about time to come out of your room!"

Lexa's foster mother, Camela, barked sarcastically, as she heard approaching steps and threw a small plate at Lexa, which the latter didn't expected.

Lexa's eyes widened and tried to evade the incoming plate, but it was futile, as her sharp reflexes weren't awaken yet. The incoming plate scratched her left arm a bit, and she yelped while using her right arm to grabbed her injured left arm.

She lifted her face up, little tears were already dropping from her wee eyes, and she stared at her foster mother. If looks could kill, Camela would have been ten feet beneath the ground. She didn't know why her foster mother was this cruel, but it was killing her internally!
