Chapter Forty-Six.

Sorah's POV.

“Don’t you think you’re exerting yourself too much, My Lady?” Mei looks at me pensively. “You’ve been on it for hours already. I’m afraid I won’t permit you to hold on any longer.”

As soon as she says that, I retract my hands to my thighs and nearly sway back and fall. I feel so beat and my eyes are spinning. My head hurts and I touch it with a wince, noticing the warm trail trickling out of my left nostril.

“My Lady!” Mei is quick to alarm and I shake my head at her to signal her to calm down. “I’m alright...I’ll be fine once I take my rest,” I tell her weakly and stare down at the weight on my thighs, stroking my shaky fingers through the onyx fur.

Dyrean had found Upma two days ago and brought him here. He sustained grisly injuries in an ambush from Vampire Hunters. His injuries are so chronic that I’m now draining my blood and bones to patch him up. I even stepped out in the strict company of Dyrean and a few other Vampires to fetch some herbs to assist me.
