Chapter Forty Two. "Mom, are you even listening to me?" Delilah yelled, causing Natalia to snap back into reality. "Delilah, who told you all this?" Natalia said slowly, her voice shaky as she spoke. Chapter Forty Three.Delilah let herself into the house without alerting anyone of her presence. She did not want to face her mom, or who she had always thought her mom was, rather, as she made her way to her room.She gave a thousand prayers as she turned the key and lifted the door slightly while pushing it, so that it wouldn't make any sounds and alert her mother of her presence.Delilah collapsed on her bed and closed her eyes. She had had an eventful night. Dennis's party was, as usual, extraordinary. Chapter Forty Four.Violet was still in the back seat, not needing to speak as the GPS gave them the exact location of the large building. "Go down and ring up. We're right behind you." Piero said. "Honey, I'm scared." Natalia said, her voice shaky as she held Piero.Piero held her hands and squeezed them. "Don't worry. Everything would be fine. Chapter Forty Five.Delilah snarled in response at the people guarding her and the others, since they liked to speak dog so much.As it was, she was not the only captive, but she was the one that almost got away.Delilah kicked herself internally. All these things would not have happened if she had turned back when her mind told her to. In fact, maybe if she had stopped to listen to her mother, then she would not have been in this terrible situation. She should have allowed her mother to explain what happened, in her fair sense of justice.It was her mother that was there, and not the reporters after all. Chapter Forty Six. Natalia was in the kitchen making herself some coffee. Piero was still asleep. Not that she blamed him, of course. The man deserved to get some sleep, but she was unable to. Even when she finally managed to fall asleep, she was plagued by dreams of her baby screaming while being taken away. She had happened to wake Piero up due to her screams and excessive sobbing. So when Piero fell asleep again, Natalia tiptoed out of the room. She had to get Delilah back, and something was telling her that her daughter was still in that awful land. The police didn't seem to be doing anything based on her disappearance. Natalia thought. And that was only putting it lightly! Chapter Forty Eight. Delilah was singing a song that she used to sing with her mother when Oriel got to the cell. As usual, she did not acknowledge him, so he let himself into the cell, and dragged Delilah up. “What is going on? Chapter Forty Nine.Delilah made her way up the stairs with a sigh as she wondered how she was lucky enough to be granted access to the library. Did she want to be friends with demons and move around them? No. She definitely did not. But she had no where to go. She couldn’t escape, and she couldn’t sneak her way out of it.
