chapter thirty

Emily POV

After leaving the mall, I didn't even go back to the bank to see Caroline; I was so nervous that I ran back home.

I was apprehensive because tomorrow I would have to do all of that alone, and I barely knew where to start.

"Emily? Where were you? Caroline called five times," Emma confronted me as soon as I entered the house.

"I got distracted with these things, didn't even notice time passing. I went to the bank again, and she wasn't there," and the award for the best liar goes to...

"We almost called Tyler," she said, stepping away and leaving me completely alone.

I was thinking about Tyler; I really wanted to tell him about the letter, but I can't risk it. First, I had to find out who wrote it.

"Take care," I said, sealing our lips once again.

"Everything will be fine; take care of our little one. Tomorrow night, I'll be back," Tyler said, already crossing the door. I waved once again and then closed it.

"Don't start crying, huh?" Justin said, sending me a playful smi
