Chapter 49: Cute Couple

When they stopped talking I listened to their footsteps retreat from the locker room and I pressed myself against the tile behind me, taking a deep breath and slowly blowing it out before placing a smile on my face.

The forcedness almost felt painful, like it was pulling at every muscle in my face in a way it shouldn’t but I attempted to ignore it.

Shaking my head I push myself up off of the wall and begin to walk out over to the girls who look completely and utterly exhausted, well except Naomi who looked like she was doing a little dance smiling to herself.

“Someone is in a good mood” I teased and she looked back over at me and ran up giving me a hug.

“Thank you for pushing me Amara” she whispered next to my ear and I smiled genuinely, her joy practically radiating off of her to me which was something that I definitely needed at the moment.

“I’m happy that it is all working out” I smile as she steps back and then looks at me expectantly causing me to pause feeling a little bit
